As a college professor with 31 years of experience in K-12 education as a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal, Dr. DeFlora’s teaching is grounded in real-world classroom practice and a deep commitment to preparing the next generation of educators. She specializes in equipping future K-12 teachers with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to create inclusive, engaging, and effective learning environments. Her teaching focus is on bridging theory and practice- helping teacher candidates apply evidence-based instructional strategies, navigate diverse classroom settings, and cultivate reflective, student-centered teaching practices. She strives to develop educators who are not only instructional leaders but also lifelong learners and advocates for all students.
